The 2007 Barnabas ride was a great success. Weather beautiful, 77 bikes, Carl's great chicken, lots of give aways and really great music by WHITESTONE. The ride beat last years amount raised. Thanks to CMA riders for judging the bike show and thanks to all those who participated.

It was the May meeting, but it got named the FIRST ANNUAL MEETING AND COOKOUT AT SAM AND JANICE'S Everyone said do it again, so it will become an annual thing. About 35 gathered to enjoy the cookout and short business meeting. Weather held good but looked like rain just as the meeting was over. I talked to two that said they got wet on the way home only to find that it was dry at their house. See you all next year. God bless.

On Sat., November 11, 2006, 6 of us did the last ride of our 2006 calendar out to Watson Mill Bridge. This famous bridge is one of the oldest covered bridges in Ga., and was featured in the movie, "The Bridges of Madison County." Weather was perfect- cool temps and partly sunny. Great way to end our 2006 riding calendar!

On Sunday afternoon, Oct. 15, 2006, the Spirit Riders joined elements of the Patriot Guard Riders and our frinds in CMA to honor a fallen hero, Lance Cpl. Stephen Johnson, recently killed in Iraq. His family joined Hebron Baptist in the summer, and the funeral was held here. We had the honor of not only joining in the memorial, but we were in the color guard, and rode up front in the funeral procession. It was a humbling honor to be here.

4935 miles on the Wing (and another 350 on a S-10 pickup from Dodge City Powersports) We rode thru 13 states and hit 5 of them twice. We had great weather the whole trip had to put on rainsuits about 3 times, only 1 time that it rain hard. 13 national parks and about 15 national forests. What a beautiful country that we live in.
